Ayurvedic Spring Cleanse

April 10 @ 1:00 pm - April 15 @ 2:30 pm

Price: $149

Healing. Balance. Energy. Focus. Strength.

The Atma Center is excited to offer a spring Ayurvedic cleanse to help get your season off to a healthy and mindful start. With the guidance of Ayurvedic consultant, Sahar Rizvi of Cleveland Masala, we are thrilled to be able to provide this exciting offering.

Ayurveda recommends that we cleanse twice a year: once in the Fall and once in the Spring. In the Fall it supports us in releasing excess heat from the body and prepares our immune system, and in the Spring, it helps to release excess that has accumulated from the heaviness of winter. It also provides a chance to cultivate inner awareness and to listen to your body.

Benefits of an Ayurvedic Spring Cleanse

Supports the elimination of toxins from the body.

Increases energy and vitality.

Supports healthy weight management.

Helps reestablish one's natural state of balance.

Relaxes the nervous system and calms the mind.

Promotes optimal health and well-being.

What to Expect for Your Spring Cleanse:

This particular cleanse is five days in length with a pre and post cleanse gathering for directions and follow up discussion. A traditional Ayurvedic cleanse involves three distinct phases, each critically important to your success:

1. Preparation

This Ayurvedic Cleanse is designed to keep your body-type (Dosha) in mind while doing a spring cleanse.
Pre-cleanse session will be held on Sunday, April 18th and will include the following:

Intention setting for the cleanse.

45 min cooking lesson which will include recipes for Kitchari (basmati rice cooked with split mung beans), and digestive & detox teas.

Introduction to DinCharya (a routine to align to our natural rhythm)

Introduction to Abhiyanga( Ayurvedic self-massage)

2. Active Cleansing

3. Reintroduction & Rejuvenation

This is the heart of the cleanse. During this time, you will eat a very simplified mono-diet of kitchari.

This diet is substantive enough that you can maintain your essential responsibilities, and it simultaneously resets the digestive system, supports the elimination of toxins, and balances vata, pitta, and kapha.

This supportive plan acts to reintroduce whole foods into your system. It acts as a way to buffer your system and to rekindle your agni, or digestive fire, so that it can handle more complex foods. The result is rejuvenation of our system and senses.

Community support during the cleanse:
1. Daily morning meditation, gentle movements and intention setting during the 5 active days of the cleanse.
2. Private Facebook page to talk about the cleanse and lend support.
3. Abhiyanga supplies will be offered in the Atma Center’s retail store.
